First Inning:
New York -- Burns singled sharply over second after the count was three and two. Herzog flied to Joe Jackson on the first ball pitched. Kauff sent up a high fly to Jackson who almost dropped the ball. The crowd booed Zimmerman. Zimmerman flied to Felsch.

Chicago -- John Collins blazed a hot single to right. McMullen sacrificed Sallee to Holke. Fletcher threw out Eddie Collins at first, John Collins going on to third on the play. Herzog made a circus catch of Jackson's Texas leaguer.

Second Inning:
New York -- Cicotte kept the ball around the Giants knees. Fletcher fouled out to Gandil. Cicotte tossed out Robertson at first. Holke beat out a slow roller to Eddie Collins. Cicotte caught Holke dead asleep off first base with a quick throw to Gandil.

Chicago -- Sallee was working his famous cross-fire ball. Ball one, Felsch sent up a lofty fly to Fletcher. Heine Zimmerman dropped Gandil's line drive but threw him out at first. Sallee tossed out Weaver at first.

Third Inning:
New York -- Felsch gathered in McCarty's long drive. The Chicago outfielders shifted with every Giants batter. Weaver caught Sallee's fly. Burns walked. Herzog singled to right, Burns going to second. Gandil ran to the Giants bench and caught Kauff's foul.

Chicago -- Zimmerman made a one hand stop of Schalk's grounder and got his man at first. Cicotte drilled a single over the middle bag. John Collins singled to right but Cicotte was out, going to third, Robertson to Zimmerman. On the throw to third, John Collins went to second. McMullin singled, scoring J. Collins. The official scorer gave McMullin a two base hit. E. Collins fouled out to Fletcher.

Fourth Inning:
New York -- Schalk took Zimmerman's high foul. McMullin threw out Fletcher at first, making a nice play of Fletcher's roller. Robertson hit a hot two bagger to right field. McMullin threw out Holke at first

Chicago -- Burns snared Jackson's fly. Felsch scored on a terrific drive into the left field bleachers for a home run. The crowd gave him a great cheer. Sallee threw out Gandil at first. Burns caught Weaver's fly.

Fifth Inning:
New York -- McCarty drove a long hit to the center field fence for three bases. The Chicago infield played close in. McCarty scored on Sallee's single to right. Burns hit into a double play, Weaver to Eddie Collins to Gandil. Herzog struck out. He was the first strike out victim of the game.
2 Hits, 1 Run
Chicago -- Schalk grounded out to Holke. Sallee threw out Cicotte at first. John Collins also grounded out to Holke unassisted.

Sixth Inning:
New York -- Kauff fanned on three pitched balls. Zimmerman flied out to Gandil. Fletcher flied out to Jackson. It was the first inning that the New Yorks made no hits.

Chicago -- Herzog threw out McMullin at first, after cutting down what seemed to be a sure hit. E. Collins fanned. Holke took Jackson's grounder and beat the runner to the bag.

Seventh Inning:
New York -- McMullin threw out Robertson. Holke singled past Gandil. Jackson made a wonderful catch of McCarty's seeming safe drive. Holke was held at first. Sallee flied to Felsch.

Chicago -- Salee threw out Felsch at first. Gandil got a hit through Zimmerman's legs. Weaver fanned and Gandil stole second, and McCarty's overthrow to the outfield, Gandil went to third. Fletcher threw out Schalk.

Eighth Inning:
New York -- Burns flied out to Felsch. Herzog sent a lofty fly to Jackson. Weaver took Kauff's grounder but his wild throw drew Gandil off the bag with Zimmerman up. Kauff was caught off first, the play being Cicotte to Gandil to E. Collins.

Chicago -- Fletcher tossed out Cicotte. John Collins got a two base hit along the left field foul line. Sallee took McMullins grounder and John Collins was run down, Sallee to Zimmerman to Herzog. McMullin was out stealing, McCarty to Herzog.

Ninth Inning:
New York -- Cicotte tossed out Zimmerman. It was announced that the official attendance was 32,000. Fletcher flied up to Weaver. Robertson flied out to John Collins.
