I have been wondering about Eddie Collins performance in the 1919 WS, it surely was not very good, but I am not saying he was in on the conspiracy, it is just puzzling to me that he did so poorly, was he ill during the series? (I thought I heard that once). Also, is there any feelings in print by Collins as to what he thought of Jackson's play in that WS? I know Collins held Jackson's great talents in high regard.

You are correct that Collins played poorly and we believe his illness was a head cold and that might explain his poor play......but again, you are correct....if you look at his play during that series....you could assume he was in on the fix.......it would be a bad assumption......since Collins was squeaky clean when it came to that sort of stuff (Read: Collins was not in on the fix....but we do believe he knew something was going on.)

We went and read that garbage...and uninformed garbage it was....but we certainly appreciate you sticking up for Joe. We choose not to get into those pissing contest with folks that are that uninformed.....it's way too easy for us....it's like shooting ducks in a bathtub......just no sport in it. The guy is uninformed and does not appear to want to be informed...so we've learned over the years which fights to pick...and which fights to leave alone........
