In 1913, Joe hit a shot at the Polo Grounds that apparently cleared the right field roof, is there any idea if that was a 500 ft. shot, or better? I understand Joe was the first to do this, then the Babe got his shot either on the roof, or, over it.

Well...if memory serves me correctly.....it was 257 feet down the right field line....so whatever it took to get the ball over that roof from there.....not sure what it would have taken to clear the roof....but to say the least it was a blast to get it there......just guessing here...but I would say it was a two meals and movie flight!!....anything hit that far has got at least one flight attendant on it
