One of the posters over at Fanhome suggests that Joe Jackson attended at least one of the meetings of players and gamblers. I don't remember ever reading this in all my research. Also, another poster suggests that Joe said his .375 average does not suggest he was trying ALL the time. I don't necessarily buy this theory, what would Joe have hit if he was "really" trying........450, .480????

Someone needs to shows us the PROOF!!! In all our research....we have never heard of anyone putting Joe Jackson at any meeting with the players and gamblers......not one person to our knowledge ever said Joe was present at any of those meetings. On your second point......again....someone needs to bring us the proof on Joe saying just because he hit .375 didn't mean a thing.......we have never seen a quote from Joe even close to that.....again....BRING THE PROOF!!!
