I have noticed some new books concerning the 1919 WS, and was wondering if anyone has had a chance to read them yet. One of them is titled: THE 1919 WORLD SERIES, WHAT REALLY HAPPENED? The other is titled: BLACKBALL, BLACK SOX, AND THE BABE. Anyone had a chance to look these books over?

"The 1919 World Series, What Really Happened" has been out for almost two years now....and we did read it when it came out.......not a whole lot new in this one...except the author recognizes that the Reds were actually a better team than the Sox in the '19 series and quite possible would have beat them without the scandal in place. With that theme in mind....he goes in detail with trying to prove his theories.....we actually remember liking the book when we read it back in the Summer of 2001. We have "BLACKBALL, BLACK SOX, AND THE BABE" on order and should have it within the week....so we cannot comment on that book as of yet..........
