"Nickname"

Was there a photographer at the ballgame in Anderson way back when?Just curious as to whether such a photo exist's.

There was a news reporter there that day in Anderson, but unlike today, most of the time those guys did not have a photographer with them for these local games. In those days, putting a photo into print for newspapers was a big deal and was not cheap for the paper to do, most only ran wire photos in those days. I think it's safe to say that no photos were taken that day OR if they were, they were done by a fan in the stands and the chances of that happening are very, very slim at best. Hope that helps.

In 28 years of researching Jackson, I have never seen a photo of game action when Joe was still in Greenville. I would venture to say no photo from that Anderson game exists.
