"Buck Weaver"
 
   First off I'd like to say to all who have signed up for and who run this website and forum. I am a huge Shoeless Joe Jackson fan, he's been my hero since I was 12 years old. I would love to help out with getting Jackson into the Hall of fame anyway I can, but I believe we should also help out another, at least get his name cleared. Thats Buck Weaver.

Buck Weaver was a stellar 3rd baseman, heck even Ty Cobb wouldn't bunt when he was at 3rd sack. Anyway, like Jackson, his statistics proved that he did not throw any of the games. Like Jackson, he batted over .300 and was in love with the sport.

Joe will always be my hero...They have all paid the painful price. Let's let them free.

Like you we believe Buck should have his name cleared as well.....and hence the reason we also maintain a web site for Buck Weaver as well (http://www.gingerkid.com). This was one of the first Buck Weaver web sites on the Net.....so we believe we are all on the same page here. Glad you like the VHOF and we hope you visit the Gingerkid web site as well.    No problem...just do what I can to help out the cause...if there is anything I could do let me know. I was also curious, you still have some of the memorial "Black Betsy" Joe jackson bats available. Just curious cuz I might have interest in getting one later this year, sometime after I get back to work. Thank you John. PS I read your review on the book Burying the Black Sox: How the cover-up of the 1919 World Series almost Worked. I just ordered the book based on review alone. Again thank you, John
